ALMOST BARE CHEEKS

Woah, that title sounds a little racy, huh! I honestly kept going over what to call this post, and decided there was no other concise, upfront way of titling this! Haha, whoooopsies! But it got your attention, right? Now that spring has officially arrived, I’m ready for fresh, minimal makeup looks. A natural flush is the perfect way to bring life to the face without being too over the top. Lately, these three products have been on rotation for almost bare cheeks.

A new love is The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 Light Matte which is perfect for a natural all-over bronzer or some subtle definition (not contouring as this shade is quite fair, but it does help to bring shape to the face). There is no hint of orange or shimmer and it blends onto the skin so smoothly. I’ve been really impressed!

Onto a long-time love of mine, Rimmel Match Perfection Blush in Light/Medium. You can tell I get a lot of use out of this because the rings of the pan are starting to show on the darker shades. The colours are almost matte, and seem quite powdery, but I find they blend to be very natural and have a pretty good lasting power. This definitely isn’t a very pigmented powder, but the shade is so natural and pairs perfectly with any look, especially if you’re a blush newbie like myself!

Lastly, the Essence Silky Touch Blush in 50 Sweetheart is slightly more pinky and does have a slight sheen to it, but it is not glittery! It adds a natural glow to the cheeks and the formula is seriously impressive for only $3. I can’t complain about this at all and am for sure interested picking up a couple more colours, but opted for this one as it’s a very versatile shade.

What is your barely-there cheek pick?
