Of all the holiday releases so far, the Fenty Beauty Galaxy Eyeshadow palette caught my eye. I saw this palette popping up in my instagram feed leading up to the release date and just could not resist. I knew I needed to add this beauty to my shadow collection! The promo video, the packaging and the presentation of this palette were simply irresistible. Fenty Beauty has been killin’ it in every single way! I purchased the palette on it’s Friday October 13th release, and have been using it ever since!

After 2 failed attempts, I finally was able to get my hands on the Colourpop Yes Please palette during the most recent restock. If you have yet to get your hands on it, don’t worry! Colourpop will restock again today at 10am EST – just in time for fall, too! This warm-toned palette has very quickly become a staple for me. With a variety of shades and 2 gorgeous finishes, there are so many ways to wear it!

The Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Concealer claims to be a full-coverage formula that covers flaws and imperfections. It is said to have antiquing ingredients that provide moisture to the skin. It is said to be ideal on blemishes and the underage area. So many amazing claims that I just could not resist! It feels like I have been on the hunt for the perfect under eye concealer for a long time! My under eye area is quite dark, with some fine lines and fairly dry. Talk about being against all odds! Seriously! And so I am constantly looking on the Sephora app under the “Top Rated” concealers, and spend a lot of time watching video reviews on YouTube on this search.

After seeing endless hype for the Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Foundation, I needed to give it a try for myself! This liquid foundation retails for just $8CAD (just $5.99 for my US friends) and is getting so many amazing reviews comparing it to higher-end formulas. So, how could I not be intrigued?

The claims

Weirdly enough, this product doesn’t claim much at all. Both the packaging and the Wet n Wild website talk about how it performs under lighting conditions. Basically, this is said to give you camera-ready skin and reduce the white cast caused by photography. Strange claims. There is nothing about coverage, longevity, skin concerns. This was pretty weird to me when I started seriously looking into the product, but for $8 it was worth trying out on my own. I do love that Wet n Wild offers this in 20 shades, which is a great selection! The range does seem to be lacking in selection for darker skin tones, however.

Since today is Earth Day, I thought I would share with you some of my green beauty essentials. I’ve been purchasing more natural products a lot over the last few years, especially when it comes to skin, body and haircare. This is a topic that is very dear to me, so I’m surprised I have not yet shared these products yet.

I’ve been leaning toward purchasing fewer, but better quality products when it comes to personal care. I know, I could definitely do the same in regards to makeup, but I just can’t… yet. As I said, I’ve been paying so much more attention to ingredients, ethics and sources of the products I’ve been using. There are so many great brands on the market that offer these clean solutions, and I have found them to be extremely accessible. My favourite sources for natural beauty are National Nutrition (which I visit in Orillia, Ontario) and well.ca (which is based in Toronto & Guelph Ontario) so hurrah for supporting local businesses too! Let’s jump in and go over all the great natural and green goodies I’ve been using, loving and hope you get inspired by!
