The Kat Von D Shade + Light eye palette has been a staple palette to many for years! I finally picked one up back in December, and I truly wish I had it sooner! This has quickly, and understandably, become a favourite.

Since today is Earth Day, I thought I would share with you some of my green beauty essentials. I’ve been purchasing more natural products a lot over the last few years, especially when it comes to skin, body and haircare. This is a topic that is very dear to me, so I’m surprised I have not yet shared these products yet.
I’ve been leaning toward purchasing fewer, but better quality products when it comes to personal care. I know, I could definitely do the same in regards to makeup, but I just can’t… yet. As I said, I’ve been paying so much more attention to ingredients, ethics and sources of the products I’ve been using. There are so many great brands on the market that offer these clean solutions, and I have found them to be extremely accessible. My favourite sources for natural beauty are National Nutrition (which I visit in Orillia, Ontario) and well.ca (which is based in Toronto & Guelph Ontario) so hurrah for supporting local businesses too! PACIFICA SOLAR COMPLETE COLOR PALETTE REVIEW
I’ve been on a bit of a Pacifica Beauty bender and recently decided to pick up the Pacifica Solar Complete Color Mineral Palette. My Pacifica collection is definitely growing – I’ve been coveting everything by the brand! From their quality, to their ethics, I am behind everything they have to offer, and this palette is no exception!
This palette does it all
With 6 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer and 3 cream highlighters, this palette has got all the essentials to create a full faced look. The colour palette evokes spring/summer perfectly! The shade selection is very complimentary, even with the addition of gold and blue. It’s easy to create a full-faced, cohesive look because all these elements pair so well together. I’ve been mixing up the way to use these elements and have found they perform well no matter the context. Bonus points! Both the blush (Flushed) and bronzer (Bronzed) make a gorgeous all-over lid shades for a single shadow look! The eyeshadow Glow is an unreal highlight on the top of the cheek bones! And all of the highlighters make gorgeous lip toppers in place of gloss. Talk about multi-use! This palette really does it all!
KAT VON D HELLO CANADA SET – review & swatches
When I saw this limited edition set from Kat Von D, I knew I had to grab it to try out some of the brands’ best known products. The Hello Canada set contains 3 minis of Kat’s best selling products all wrapped up inside of a large vegan leather bag. Although, Kat Von D products have been available in Canada for what feels like years, I am glad they came out with this set. I personally, had never purchased any of the lip products before and who doesn’t love minis? These are handbag or travel essentials – and oh-so perfectly paired with a massive clutch. This would be a great introduction to the brand or a fabulous gift for a friend who purchases cruelty-free! I’ve read that Kat Von D is becoming 100% vegan and all the products contained in this set are vegan. This set is branded as Kat’s most coveted products, which are some of the brands best sellers. Inside of the gorgeous clutch there are 3 minis. There are 2 lippie formulas and a liquid liner, so there is something for most beauty lovers.
PACIFICA 7 FREE NAIL COLOURS in LONDON TOMBOY & DRIFT
I featured these Pacifica 7 Free Nail Colour vegan & cruelty-free nail polishes on my instagram a couple weeks ago. The day I featured them was after they arrived in the mail, and I have been trying these colours ever since! With 29 shades available there is a goos array of shades in this collection and I decided to pick out two to try the formula and application – London Tomboy and Drift – as these shades most suit my personal style.
