Valentine’s Makeup 2 Ways

valentine's day look with two lip options hot pink and black lipstick modern renaissance on the eyes

Today, I have 2 ways to wear this super easy Valentine’s Day makeup look. This eye look can pair with just about any lip, and today I’ve chosen 2 lip options to share with you that I think perfectly suit Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re headed out on a dinner date or drinks with friends, this look is perfect! This look can easily be soft and romantic or can be quickly turned around for a more edgy result, I love versatile makeup like this! Of course, this look can be amped up by smoking out the eyes or adding falsies, but I chose to keep it a little lighter, even though I would love it either way!

Romantic Pink Lids

The main feature of this look has got to be the bright pinks on the eyes. I primarily used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette (review here) which is my one month one palette focus for February. I used the shades Tempera, Burnt Orange, Warm Taupe, Love Letter & Buon Fresco to create depth in the crease and outer portion of the eye. On the remainder of the lid I went in with the beautiful Colourpop Birthday Cake Super Shock Shadow, which was a limited edition shade last year. But the colour and sparkle is too pretty, I just had to include it in this look! A few coats of Essence Lash Princess Mascara, on just the top lashes, help define and tie the look together. I love how the eyes are colourful and romantic, but still very wearable.

Cheeky Picks

I focused on glow for the cheeks, with very subtle definition. To bronze & contour, I used the Sephora Colorful Contour in Las Cabos and added colour back to the cheeks with Benefit Rockateur, these are 2 of my very few non-cruelty free products that remain in my collection (yay!) and the glow is created by layering Colourpop Lunch Money Super Shock Cheek under a mixture of Vermeer & Primavera from the Modern Renaissance palette! That glow is perfection guys! If you own this palette, give it a try * insert heart eyes emoji*

Two Lip Options

Just because I’m indecisive, I decided to feature two lip options. I love both equally, so why not demonstrate the versatility of this look?

This first look is definitely more everyday appropriate and likely a combo many people will be wearing this Valentine’s Day. It is a combination of two products I am focusing on using up, so I’ve been wearing this combo a lot as of late! A deluxe mini of Marc Jacobs Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Le Marc Lip Creme is the base for this lip look, and then I’ve topped it off with NYX Creme Brulee Butter Gloss and this is just a perfect match.

This second lip is a complete departure from the first look. We’re going much more deep, dramatic and matte. But I love it all the same! This lip is Wet n Wild Widows Peak Liquid Catsuit. It’s a comfortable matte black that I could wear all day or night. If I were going out with friends for Valentine’s this is the lip I would be rocking!

I shared a GRWM video on YouTube chatting with you as I created this look! It was so much fun, but not something I will do too much of.

I can’t wait to get back to sharing MOTD posts with you guys here on the blog! I haven’t done a post like this since last May when I shared this look, but I am going to turn that around now! I am feeling so motivated & excited!
