Hey guys it’s Davina from Sparkle and Fade here! Something a bit different and special that Rebecca and I worked out together. I’m incredibly excited to be writing a guest post on Morerebe since I have been a fan of her blog for a long time, her posts are always lovely and creative. Today I will share with you what’s in my makeup bag and hopefully you can get some good recommendations.
Femme Couture Foundation – this is one of my favourite foundations and it gives off a flawless finish and glow. It’s creamy, blends well, gives a good coverage and is hydrating for my skin. It’s a perfect match for my skin colour and lasts all day.
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer – another favourite skincare product that I have come across. This one has a great formula and it covers all my spots, dark circles and all the redness on my skin.
Mac Haute and Naughty Too Black Lash – one of the best mascaras. This makes my itty bitty eyelashes actually look big with volume and length. The formula is black, smooth, thickens and separates my lashes.
Shu Eumara Eyelash Curler – the sidekick to my Mac mascara which curls my eyelashes like no other that I have discovered.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen – perfect for all my cat eye looks. The formula is pigmented, waterproof and doesn’t budge at all. The felt tip is precise and glides on the eye smoothly.
Nyx French Fries Eyeshadow Stick – the name is hilarious seeing as I love eating french fries. This product is just right for me because it’s fast and easy to put on which saves a lot of time in getting ready for school and other things when I’m running late. The eyeshadow is very pigmented and has beautiful colour. Similar to the Tom Ford Spice shadow.
Marcelle Duo Eyebrow Pro – my sister introduced me to this and it’s the best for my eyebrows. I wasn’t exactly lucky on the eyebrow front so this is perfect to help build up some shape and colour. It has one end with a slanted waterproof pencil and the other is made up of a spooly and tinted gel. I always rebuy this one.
Smashbox O Gloss – I picked this up on my trip to New York city with my friends last year in Sephora and I love it. I’m usually not a big fan of lipgloss because it gets sticky and my hair gets caught in it but this is a different story with Smashbox o gloss. The lipgloss is clear and adjusts to your lip colour making it unique to you lips. The innovative formula is packed with an exclusive Goji Berry-C and pomegranate seed antioxidants and moisturizing avocado oil.

Mac Plumful – my favourite lipstick by Mac in a deep sheer plum colour and a lustre finish. It’s lovely to wear everyday or you can build up the coverage for special events wether it’s a night out with friends or a holiday dinner.

Mac Chatterbox– my best friend Claire gave this to me for my 17th birthday and I love wearing this to feel  a bit extra special.

Eos mint lip balm– haha, we all heard of this one from Miley Cyrus’ We Can’t Stop music video. I recently got this after my friend Veronika let me try some of hers and let me tell you it works well. The formula has a thick consistency, it is hydrating, refreshing and keeps my lips in god shape.

Alright guys hope you enjoyed this post you can head over to my blog to see what’s in Rebecca’s makeup bag!

The Body Shop is one of my go-to stores for beauty products. Not only is the quality very good, but the price point is always amazing. Every time I step into the shop there are exciting deals and new things to try. At the moment, I am really loving quite a few items I’ve managed to accumulate over the past few months.

When it comes to body products, I am looking for lots of moisture and comforting scents at this time of year. The Shea Body Scrub offers just that because it smells absolutely amazing as well as leaving my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized because it is nourishing but not greasy like some other scrubs can be. I’m also really loving the Coconut Shower Cream which may not be the most seasonal, but there’s something still very comforting about this scent. It always reminds me of sunscreen and I just adore it, it lathers up so nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft.

I’ve never been one to fall in love with skincare from The Body Shop, but I have recently fallen for this one item in particular, the Tea Tree Face Mask. My skin refuses is really bad and I’m always looking for something to calm it and this mask is really great as it cools the skin as well as seems to really unclog all of the impurities in my skin. This mask doesn’t dry down or crack so I can wear it for a half hour comfortably, but I’ve also mixed bentonite clay into it a few times and really liked the clarifying results.

As for makeup, I’m really impressed by the Skin Primer Moisturize It, which I was a little skeptical about, but I have been finding my skin to get very dry in the areas I’ve targeted with my spot treatment and ordinary moisturizers were not cutting it. Makeup doesn’t slip over it and my skin doesn’t feel greasy over the day, it’s really is a great product! The Colour Crush Eye Shadow in Chocolate Linger has become an everyday staple shadow, whether it is an all-over wash of colour or in the crease and even through the brows for subtle definition. Lastly I’ve been loving the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 Light Matte because it is a great bronzer/contour for fair skin and blends out effortlessly. I’ve been using it every single day since I’ve lost my summer tan now.

Have you been loving anything from The Body Shop?

Sorry for my constant snaggletooth…
I’ve been wearing this look too much – so much that I’ve finally hit pan on the eyeshadow! It’s really simple to do and the colours are perfectly suited to this time of year. Some of these are my very favourite products so you may recognize them. I think this is great for everyday, but it can definitely be more of a nighttime look with a few simple modifications.
To get this look I used:

I start with the Stila Stay All Day Foundation (fair 2) all over the skin, then conceal using Covergirl & Olay Eye Concealer (210 light) and Clinique Even Better Concealer (Buttermilk – which seems to not be available anymore), then set with Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Pressed Powder. I contour my cheeks and add a bit of warmth with The Body Shop Bronzing Powder (Light Matte) and a dusting of colour using NARS Orgasm.

On the eyes is a swipe of MAC Woodwinked with a bit of the same bronzer used in the crease and outer corner. A flick on the outer half of my lid has become a bit of a staple and I use Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner (dark brown). And then I curl my lashes and tons of Covergirl Clump Crusher (very black). On my lips I’m wearing Maybelline Color Whisper (Made-it Mauve) which just is the perfect almost-nude lip for this time of year. And it’s sooo easy to top off at any time of the day! But this eye look can be paired with almost any lip colour in my opinion. And I’ve filled my brows in quite lightly with my usual Purely Pro Cosmetics Eyeshadow (Luxury).

What products are you using for your fall face?

I picked up the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail colour in Jokers Wild recently and have only worn it once so far but really love it! The shade is not my typical nail colour, but there’s something that makes it very appropriate for fall. As with the only other shade I have from this range (Full House) I was really impressed by the long-lasting formula.
Would you wear this shade for fall?

I recently picked up the Maybelline The Nudes palette, and it sparked an inspiration to use some more of my Maybelline favourites once again. The brand offers a lot of high quality products, I created this entire eye look using a few of my favourites.

The look began with Barely Branded Color Tattoo, one of my all time staples. These things really help to make shadows last for a good few hours, even on my oily lids. This shade is great for any neutral look. Honestly, no other primer necessary even though I wore this for a 9 hour day at work! On the top lid I used 3 colours from The Nudes palette – a pale shimmery shade all over and a combination of the two lightest matte shades in my crease. Blending is key with these shadows and I found I had to build up the shimmery shade quite a bit, but I was really pleased with the result. For a bit of fun, I decided to use the darkest shade from the Purple Icon quad along the lower lash line, bringing it quite far down and smudging it out. I often overlook this little quad, but it is nice to use from time to time and I think the shades compliment my eye colour wonderfully. But purple seems to be a great colour for just about all eyes!

To amp up the look, I used my go-to Master Precise Liquid Liner to create a wing on the outer portion of my eye. I think a wing can really bring a whole look together to create more drama, even if its very simple like what I have here. Lastly, several coats of mascara is always key for me, and I absolutely love The Falsies as it creates long, voluminous lashes in a few swipes! I love using it on both my top and bottom lashes to make my eyes look bigger.

Overall, I was really happy with how this look came out, and got a chance to revisit some old favourites as well as play around with a new staple in my everyday routine!
