I have decided that I am starting a makeup no buy! It’s been a couple weeks since the last time I purchased any new products, and I haven’t felt the desire. However, I want to keep that momentum going! There is absolutely no reason at this time to introduce new items into my collection. In fact, I’d love to get some things out of my life!

After 2 failed attempts, I finally was able to get my hands on the Colourpop Yes Please palette during the most recent restock. If you have yet to get your hands on it, don’t worry! Colourpop will restock again today at 10am EST – just in time for fall, too! This warm-toned palette has very quickly become a staple for me. With a variety of shades and 2 gorgeous finishes, there are so many ways to wear it!

Playing with bright, bold makeup is such a meditative experience for me. I feel like my mind goes blank, I simply focus on the moment – blending, combining, exploring, creating. It’s therapeutic. On Thursday afternoon, instead of worrying about heading back to work on Friday morning, I sat down with a bunch of makeup, without a plan and just went for it. The final result was this bright pink and gold look – and I love the final look!

I’ve always admired the look of oval brushes, they look so elegant and innovative. I had seen some high end variations of this style brush, but honestly, was never willing to fork out the cash for some expensive brands! As much as I love trying out new beauty I am also always looking for a good deal too!  When Simple Glam Girls reached out to me with an opportunity to try their Oval Brush Set*, I was excited to think I may have accidentally stumbled upon a great, affordable alternative.

I received the Lush Rose Gold Oval Set by Simple Glam Girls about a month ago. The set contains 10 gorgeous brushes of all shapes and sizes, perfect for creating looks with cream and powder products. I’ve been testing these brushes since they arrived and have been quite enjoying these little beauties!

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette has been a cult-favourite palette for quite some time since it was released last year. This palette comes highly recommended for both formula and colour range. It was many people’s favourite palette of 2016, and I honestly thought that the hype was going to die down into the new year. I still see people rave about this palette, so during the Sephora VIB sale, I decided it was time for me to try this palette out for myself!
